Vintage Large Corbel Bracket Shelf

A striking vintage decorative shelf featuring a long, moulded top supported by a pair of ornate carved corbel brackets. The brackets feature decorative detailing and a distressed cream finish with gilt accents, giving the piece a traditional character and an attractive aged appearance.

The shelf top is constructed from wood and MDF, while the decorative corbels are made from plaster. The original finish is off-white with gold detailing, now showing plenty of wear, including scuffs and chips throughout. The MDF section of the shelf top appears to have been exposed to moisture at some point, causing it to swell slightly in places. The overall finish is quite distressed, adding to its vintage charm, although the piece could be repainted if desired.

The shelf comes in four sections for assembly. Metal L-brackets will be required to secure it to the wall and are not included.

A decorative statement piece that would work beautifully in a traditional, eclectic or vintage-inspired interior, whether displayed above a fireplace, in a hallway or as a feature shelf.
