Arts and Crafts Swedish Table Lamp by Arvid Böhlmarks

An early 20th-century Swedish table lamp by Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik, dating from the 1910s. Böhlmarks was a leading Swedish lighting manufacturer, founded in Stockholm in 1872, and produced a wide range of distinctive Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts-inspired lighting.
 
The lamp has a wonderfully tactile hammered metal construction, with a simple geometric frame and brass detailing. The dark, aged finish to the metal contrasts particularly well with the vibrant yellow pleated fabric shade, which appears to be a later replacement.
 
The lamp retains its original bulb holder and integral on/off switch and has been rewired at some stage. It takes a standard E27 screw-in bulb.
